Hallo,

Siehe:

http://picasaweb.google.de/jjmskuehne/Rosa#5509788408890966162

Problem besteht auf 2 Rechnern W7 und XP. Ich habe auch schon im FDRTool
Präferenzen->Raw-Konversion verschiedene Werte bei (-S) und auch (-h) ausprobiert…
Habt Ihr einen Tipp?javascript:void(0); (FDR Basic 2.3.2)
(P.S. mit jpeg habe ich die Probleme nicht)

Grüße vom Knipser

Version 2.4.0 brings few new features but many improvements to the "innards". It is now possible to process large images. Introduction of multithreading utilizes the power of multicore processors. Moreover new options allow for more control over the tone mapping process.

Bugs fixed:
  • Program crashed when trying to read project files from versions earlier than 2.3
  • Once in a while crash on cancelling project changes.
  • Coordinates and RGB value within Preview were not displayed correctly.
  • Resulting images of integer formats were always scaled to the maximum integer value thereby foiling deliberate downscaling by the user.
  • Images were not correctly "prepared". When reading prepared images histograms were missing alongside other side effects.
  • Histograms were not always drawn correctly - missing histograms or flickering.
  • Redraw behaviour of Preview had a few shortcomings.
  • Drawing of tabs has been slightly modified.
  • "Color Plus" button was activated when pressing "Defaults" with only one image loaded.

You can find more information on this release in the following forum thread: http://fdrtools.com/smf/index.php?topic=377.msg1062;topicseen#msg1062

This update is free of charge for registered users.

Please note that this is a beta release. It works fairly stable already. However, you might still encounter problems. So please test this version intensively and report possible malfunctions in the FDRTools forum.

Changes Beta1:

New or changed functionality:
  • Ability to process large images.
  • Support for multicore processors / multiprocessor systems.
  • New controls broaden the tone mapping options and allow for more precise adjustments.

Tut mir leid, aber ich kann dieses Verhalten nicht nachvollziehen. Hier funktioniert die Formatauswahl wie sie soll.

however the result is strangely grainy. i used 2 jpgs with the hdr-method "separation" and the tonemapping method "compressor" (i have set the compression already from 5.0 to 2.0 - 5.0 was even more grainy).

Grainy results indicate that the lightest source image (longest exposure) is not free from noise/grain although the JPEG straight from the camera may look wonderful. You should expose longer to get even the darkest areas of the scene to a reasonable tonal value range. This avoids noise from the beginning.

If you can't repeat the shots (as is the case here) you can reduce Compression (as you did) and also reduce Contrast in FDRTools. This gives you less local contrast and detail but also reduces noise/grain. With some trying you will "get the hang of it".

If you like you can send me the original JPEGs and I will try to find "my personal" settings.

Well, I recommend the following:
1. Load the latest release - 2.4.0beta1 - of FDRTools Advanced and install it.
2. Load your images - for best quality use the RAW versions.
3. Choose the "Compressor" tonemapper.
Without much tweaking you should get what you are looking for.

hi andreas

i am trying your advanced version. it's better for sure as you can see: http://picasaweb.google.com/halloleo/HDRTrialWithFdrtools?authkey=Gv1sRgCNHl_aaWvvTlEQ#5507750818535125650

however the result is strangely grainy. i used 2 jpgs with the hdr-method "separation" and the tonemapping method "compressor" (i have set the compression already from 5.0 to 2.0 - 5.0 was even more grainy).

what can i do? leo
